there's a great amount of time that passes before I feel the need to share to nobody whatsoever. So be it. And If i were to describe my longevity when it comes to unjustified creative outbursts i’d point to the open road that unfortunately leads to the filthiest rat ridden bar frequented by construction workers and lousy cops and wannabes. The open sign is always flickering in the night. It's hardly open.

The other day while I was cooking at work, I stood there in this shoebox kitchen with a dirty spatula in my right hand flipping over two slabs of steak, onions and mushrooms on a flat top grill for a pizza, deciding on whether or not it'd be a good idea to gather up what little money I had, hop into my pathetic car that was parked crookedly just off the side of the building and just drive off to the middle of nowhere in an attempt to forge an interpersonal relationship with a barkeep. Somewhere else. Anywhere else. But then I heard bombs going off in the parking lot that upon further inspection turned out to be what I believe was a 90s style Ford F-150 making a hard left into a super slim parking space. I stuck around to see it pull off in all its exotic silver and blue striped glory. So little impresses me. Even littler distracts me.

movies are losing their grimy sheen to me. I blame it on hi-def filming technology along with the television systems we use to view them on. The hyper real does not lend itself to flattering light or angles, but instead allows the viewer to imagine themselves on set. That sucks and it's a terrible trick and it should be criticized and fought against.

I'm not throwing away my box shaped Sharp television set. It still captures that magic I yearn for.
